The Senior UX/UI will take a hands-on role in the continued design and development of SkyHive’s technology, both in consumer and enterprise contexts. He/She will be responsible for undertaking continued research and usability testing and working closely with the product management and development personnel of the company to maintain an exceptional customer experience. This is a challenging role in a high-growth startup that will require the candidate to go “above-and-beyond” typical duties and timelines for this position. 

Note: This job may potentially move to full-time permanent.

The Role

•	Developing user flows and lo-fi as well hi-fi mocks and interactive prototypes.
•	Developing user interface elements.
•	Design of logos, icons, graphics, etc. 
•	Client usability testing and analysis.
•	Product and competitive research.
•	Identifying new market opportunities for SkyHive’s technology, both in a consumer and enterprise context.
•	User scenario development.
•	Wireframe development and process flows.
•	Gathering and evaluating user requirements, working with product management and engineers. 
•	Meeting strict deadlines and demanding product development schedules. 
•	Developing storyboards, mocks and process flows.
•	Coordination with SkyHive’s Marketing and Product Management personnel.
•	Customer support and assistance when required.
•	Will travel on occasion. 
•	Other related duties as assigned.

•	Two to four-year degree in behavioural science, human-computer interaction, user interface design, usability, or related field (or certifications and comparable experience)
•	Experience in usability testing and user interface design.
•	Highly proficient with common design tools such as Sketch, Invision/Marvel, Photoshop, and Illustrator or other similar tools.
•	Strong understanding of basic digital technologies and their core capabilities (HTML/CSS/etc.)
•	Ability to be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.


•	Minimum two years experience preferred in enterprise software development and design.
•	Knowledge of web standards and accessibility.
•	Strong drawing and illustration skills.
•	Basic front-end coding ability or at least basic knowledge of programming such as HTML/CSS/JS
•	Ability to write strong and good copy for prototypes and designs.
•	Graphic design experience with a focus on marketing and promotion.
